Privacy
FoEGame collects only the information needed to provide accounts and community features.
Authentication
Google or Discord provides account identity, email, display name and avatar data used to create and secure your account. Provider credentials are handled through OAuth and are not stored by FoEGame.
Profile and community data
Your FoE nickname, server, world, language, bio, Discord username, favorites, private Great Buildings, shared board posts and claims are stored in PostgreSQL. Board viewers see only your FoE nickname, profile display name or provider display name; email and provider account identifiers are never displayed.
Sessions and cookies
FoEGame uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies are set, and the analytics described below is cookieless.
Analytics
FoEGame measures aggregate traffic with Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool running on a self-hosted instance at umami.madeburo.com. Analytics data is not shared with third-party advertising networks.
Umami stores no cookies and does not track visitors across websites or sessions. It records aggregate, non-identifying data only: page URL, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, country and event counts. IP addresses are used transiently to derive the country and are never stored. No analytics record is linked to your FoEGame account.
You can opt out by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, which Umami honours, or by blocking the analytics script with a content blocker. Both leave every FoEGame feature fully functional.
Sharing and sale
FoEGame does not sell personal data. Shared 1.9 boards are viewable by anyone who has their link.
Deletion and contact
You can permanently delete your account in Settings. Current claims are released, owned boards and authored threads are removed, and your remaining profile and private data are deleted transactionally. Contact details for privacy requests will be published before production launch.
